I am a 57 year old woman who is married (now I'm apparently going to be single....husband left me for a woman he's never met on the internet) have grandchildren living with me and recently retired. I am a type 2 diabetic, have RLS, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and insomnia. My weight has been as high as 325 lbs at one point in my life. Currently I am on a low carb diet and have lost during the last 2 months 30 lbs. My goal is 155 to 160 but my kids don't want me losing any more weight, period. Its a struggle but hoping I can get there and hold my weight.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I only weigh once a week. I'm so insecure that if I weighed everyday I'd be so depressed at any little weight gain. My advice is to do what is right for YOU. Smile God bless

HIGH FAT DIETS SHOULD BE BANNED, AS WELL AS SUGAR AND OVEREATING OF STARCH.
Oliver, you are a "know it all" and not as knowledgeable as you would like for all to believe. You are looking for attention and in "this" moment you are receiving it. However it is ONLY in "this" moment. You are WRONG in your "assumptions", which are many and MOST thinking, mature adults are/will blow you off as I intend to after this ONE post. God bless and please know this site will ignore you for the most part unless your attitude and the way you talk to people evolve and change for the better.

water water water works for me Smile I also drink coffee and am told it helps, however don't really know.

Diet soda
Hey just have to let you know that I could NOT stop drinking soda but have drank diet soda for a long time. I've still managed to drop 52 lbs since the middle of Sept. so I know you can lose weight while drinking diet soda. Smile

Weird what you crave
Wow, I didn't know that either. Everyone I know that has been put on metformin has been diagnosed as type 2 diabetic. And I do know that your sugar (the one you take everyday and stuff) can be low but if you A1C is high enough you are considered type 2 diabetic. Guess we all learn something new everyday!
