Depends on what you had. I’d start comparing the macros

Then I’d compare your lvl of energy

The day to day fluctuations that go on each day are the weight of the food that is in your stomach, the weight of the fluids that you drank, minus the amount of 💩 you dumped and the weight of the fluids you flushed, some days you have more food and fluids going in and not all of them coming back out, so you record a gain, the next day the food & fluid in is smaller, but the Food and fluid out increased, so you record a loss. Did you ever wonder why, when you are in the hospital they measure your urine output and fecal output? It always come back to 💩 LOL!

A doughnut has lots of calories, but it does not weigh much once consumed. Put an equal caloric amount of steak in your tummy and it weighs a lot more.

Yes I agree with all the shit Debra said

It happens to me too. I ate breakfast out, had lots of carbs, ate a big dinner and then had a banana split. I was 3 lbs the next day. By the following day I was back down 2 lbs. My point is, who knows...

It was fish (good protein) and nuts (good fats) ~ maybe not as bad all things considered as your body processed it? Maybe I should try this approach (but I can’t do the outfit) 😆

We can fluctuate on average 3 pounds daily depends on how much waste we put out sweat pee poop etc. a weekly weigh in is more accurate right when you wake up

Super my macros show a whopping 60+% fat!!! For yesterday. I know the body fluctuates daily. Totally get it. Andrew!!!! A dozen pieces? Im pizza jealous. Haven’t had a really good pizza in couple years. And down 4 pounds? Are you wanting to go down in weight? You look pretty jacked to me already. Diana, im with you, who knows? I just want to understand the metabolic rationale. Keep thinking i might take a nutrition class. Majored in finance way back when people drove horse and buggy transport but would love to have a better understanding of nutrition and how it affects the body (fruit carbs vs. starch carbs etc kind of thing). So many of you understand the intricacies of food and absorption better than I. Rhumba it was pretty delicious and why cant you do the outfit? Sexy is not JUST for the young peeps on here!!!!!! Thanks Debra and Angela and Glen. Super you little 💩 talker you😂

Of course. 100 calories per 10 pound body weight will always be a deficit.

Diablo sorry im not sure i understand. Are you saying anything under 1360 calories on a 136 pound body? Im super tired so not thinking straight?
14 Jul 23 by member: Yearofhealth2023

Yes. Bodyweight times 10 is a deficit. A steep one. Maybe that become less so for people 350+. But for most of us, it is unless you're in a coma. It may be maintenance then.

Diablo-so my wonder is that i ingested 2000 calories yesterday at 60% fat (not on purpose but still my fault) when I’ve been running around 1100-1200 for past few weeks and substantially less this past year. I was expecting a 1-2 pound gain today. If you didnt see my post i had macadamia encrusted halibut with roasted baby potato’s (6) and snap peas (8). Halibut was probably 4 oz or less. Had a protein smoothie at about 350 and protein muffin and thats my day except for 3-4 Tb cream for coffee (splurge). So weirded out and hoping it means i can up calories going forward but will give it a couple days and see what happens

Compare total carbs and sodium from one day to the next. Each gram of carbs brings with it 3-4 grams of water. I think one pound is about 500 grams of water. So if you had more fat and less carbs you could have just lost water/glycogen.

454 grams in one pound. So it only takes a difference of 150 carbs to add a pound of water. This is oke reason people believe low carb is the way to go, the initial large drop of weight which isn't fat, but hydration.

106 of carbs Diablo and says 881 sodium but that has to be too low because it all tasted too good., so that math would put me at 530 grams of water and therefore the .80 weight loss would just be water as 500 grams is 1 pound. Do i have that right? Meaning it may very well be back tomorrow? You are too young for this but think of me as Grasshopper and you as Master Po. (The knowledgeable and wise monk).
