148 Calories - 10 chunks of honeydew (100g), 20 blueberries (62g), 20 grape halves and 10 cherries (I ate one before I took the picture). I'm hungriest in the morning, after I eat my Dave's Killer Good Seed bread toasted with 23g butter. This snack lasts me all morning. When I do my walking, it takes me 50 laps to get in my 2-1/2 miles. After each lap, I take a bite of the snack (one cherry, one bite of honeydew, one-half of a large grape or two blueberries). I know you're not supposed to "reward" yourself with food, but this really helps to keep me motivated during my walk. And, it's a healthy reward! Not so much the 1/4 of a KitKat bar I have after I've completed the whole walking routine (52 calories). That makes all my snacking for the day only 200 calories, though, which is very good, in my case. (I can easily eat 1,000 calories a day just in snacks when I'm off the wagon.)
I consider Thursday to be "hump day," not Wednesday. My diet goes from Monday to Sunday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are the first half. Then there's Thursday (the middle), followed by Friday, Saturday and Sunday (the second half of the week). I guess people who consider Wednesday to be hump day are only considering a work week of M-F. To each his own.
I hope everyone has had a good first half of their week. If not, today is the day to turn it around - you've still got half a week ahead of you. Don't get discouraged. Just change direction and start moving toward your goal again. If you've been doing great so far, keep doing what you're doing!

Happy Thursday, Debbie! Yep, the problem with snacks is they can snowball down a hill quickly. Good diligence on your part to keep them controlled

Thank you, Maguscanook. I've still got a long way to go, but I'm doing better than I used to do by adding in some fruit and veggies. I used to get NONE.
