As much as I realize I'll have daily weight flucations, I have to admit any morning I see a downturn on the scales puts a smile on my face & starts my day off on a positive note. I am happy the adjustments I made recently....cutting back on the total calorie allowance for the day & drinking less alcohol (that has made keeping the calories lower easier) seems to be working. I have gotten back to my goal weight & even a tiny bit under.
Hubby & I are both going to join the gym. He is waiting to get an all clear with the Cardiologist but won't be back to see him til the 21st of June. I know I should go ahead & get started, but haven't done it yet. I realize it will take some commitment to go regularly. Going together will help us motivate each other.
I spent time in the gardens cutting back the spent blooms & yellowing leaves on the Lenten Roses. I threw the cuttings on the ground, so had to go back & pick them up with the wheelbarrow & dump them out. I have a LOT of them so lots if bending & twisting to get at them. Some are on the hillside by the drive.
We are going to the concert in the park tonight. We decided to bring a picnic for dinner, so I'll get that ready in a little while. I sat down to rest after gardening & have a big glass of water. Need to go shower, fold a load of laundry & put the last load in the dryer. So....better get moving.
