I seem to be yo-yo ing this week. My appetite is all over the place. I’m newly diabetic. It’s not to the point of insulin so the Dr wanted me to be better with my intake. She is on Keto so I read up on it and decided to switch from Atkins to Keto. I’m thinking I don’t have my percentage s correct.

I’ve been having really bad headache all week. Not sure if from the diet or new meds the Dr has me on to regulate my sugar. Since taking the meds and cutting out sugar all my blood sugar has been in the good range but not low enough for Ketosis.

I guess I need to try and do better. Each step a baby one.
306.0 lb Lost so far: 46.0 lb.    Still to go: 86.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

The headaches are from electrolyte imbalance, take in extra sodium (salty broths), potassium (avocados/light salt) and magnesium.

Hi Josie, I am T2D also, controlling with keto. The headache may be from lack of electrolytes. When you eat low carb, the body sheds salt. Try having salty broth or bouillon twice a day. You may also want to get Lite Salt or NoSalt, which have potassium chloride.
