Okay somethign new I learned.

Hormone hunger. I had never heard of it before. BUT then again I had never ate keto before. My blood sugar lvls upon waking are very very low. Now I haven't been diagnosed with diabetes but with the medical issues i have and half of my pancreas gone since jan, I am positioned to become diabetic. Hence the motivation to adjust diet intake. My mother, sister, and niece all died to being diabetic who refused to follow diet and take meds properly. well, all 3 was pretty self righteous , know it all and their choice religon told them to not trust their doctors.....

Anyhow, I generally start my menstrual the 17th of every month. since tuesday I feel like I have an alien in the pit of my stomach and its starving to death.

Was told it was do to hormone hunger and it shall pass. Article if you are curious now too. https://blog.bulletproof.com/ketosis-helps-lose-weight-suppressed-appetite/

^^ learn something new every day =)explains why Im extra sleepy, not deep sleep, feel boated, constipated, when I've never had these around my menstruation before.

so now I'm trying to find ways to up my fats, because it seems obvious I needed more than I have been consuming to keep them in gear.

and now to the discussion i had with doctors and nutritionist.
so, upon discussion with a nutritionist here was her suggestions to add to my low carbs( she noted through my food log entries I was lacking)

More Fiber. I have a malabsorption problem with gallbladder gone , most my pancreas gone, and liver problems.NAFLD, She claims more carbs my body can't absorb /fiber it will bind with the cholesterol and help me pass it through my system, better.

Love the words she gave me to help me vocalize why I want to fast once a week, other than being assumed I want to just starve myself.

Remember the game we played as kids – ‘opposite day’. If insulin goes up, glucagon goes down. If insulin goes down, glucagon goes up. As we eat insulin goes up and glucagon goes down. When we don’t eat (fast) insulin goes down and glucagon goes up. This increase in glucagon stimulates the process of autophagy. In fact, fasting (raises glucagon) provides the greatest known boost to autophagy."

I understand autophagy as, as a form of cellular cleansing. The body identifies old and substandard cellular equipment and marks it for destruction. It is the accumulation of all this junk that may be responsible for many of the effects of my medical problems.Think about renovating your kitchen. If you have old, crappy 1970s style lime green cabinets sitting around, you need to junk them before putting in some new ones. So the process of destruction (removal) is just as important as the process of creation. If you simply tried to put in new cabinets without taking out the old ones, it would be pretty fugly. So fasting may actually reverse some of my medical issues by getting rid of old cellular junk and replacing it with new parts. Or least that is how I am understanding it. I have had 3 bouts of cancer already and is how I first learned of Internmetted fasting, or fasting for health. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17018585
