been off the site for a few days. Just to busy to sit down and take the time to post something. Havent really logged my food either but I have cheated.not once. and i haven't missed a gym day either. in fact, ive kicked it up a bit, and haven't missed any supplements / vitamins either. Im not gonna log my usual weight today bc I have a dr's visit tomorrow so Ill wait to make it official. Meal prep helped this week. So did support from a good friend. We've been meeting up once a week for some walking and its been great to have her ear. Im so close to one-derland... hoping tomorrow is the day..... Im gonna eat light today and try and do mostly veggies with some lean protein and not eat after 7 pm ... wish me luck..

Meal prep definitely helps. I need to do a lot of cooking/prepping this weekend to make next week easier. Good job so far!

I just journaled yesterday about reaching that magic goal and getting to wonderland. I am just 6 pounds away and I am hoping to get there this month but if I don't, I'll just continue the hard work. You are going to get there so soon! Keep up the good work!

Red, How do you exactly food prep for the week? I am very interested in the logistics and practical organizational aspects: portions, main foods, freezing and freezers, containers, reassembly during week. which meals, just general food for the day, etc. If anyone else has also some ideas, or input, that would be greatly appreciated....because THAT IS MY PROBLEM :-) caught off guard.

Luck favors the prepared, and it sounds like that is what you've been doing. I owe a major part of my success to weekly prepping. The last thing I want to do when I'm hungry is to make an intelligent decision on what to eat.

Great job on your self control! Sunday is my meal/snack prep day and it has helped tremendously. It eliminates any excuse I might have had for making a less than stellar food choice!

Aurora : Here is what I personally do but others may do it differently but this works for me and my family. Since Im low carb I will usually boil a dozen eggs and use for deviled eggs which I make ahead and for salads and tuna. I fry to 2 packs of bacon for breakfasts, salads and snacking. I make about 5 lbs of chicken breast. Each week I decide how I want make. So one week it may be Moroccan the next week it may be Mediterranean. I get my ideas online or my Atkins books. I will some times saute spinach or kale and make meals with that or not. This week I fried up 2 lbs of round sirloin kinda like taco meat. I loaded with lots of veggies. This way I can use for taco salad or add cheese and eat for breakfast. Basically I make a few basic items as a "base: and then build my meals around that. And yes, it does help my budget and I havent really cooked anything since Sunday bc I keep lots of fresh vegetables on hand for salad and usually eat alot of celery, cucumber and bell pepper for snacks with either hummus, spinach dip or laughing cow wedges. And I store is straight up "rubbermaid" containers I buy at my grocery store. Hope this helps.
