This mornings weigh-in was still in the "80's" YAY! Did my morning juggling challenge, then got to the office an go written up. So 2 steps forward and 1 step back, is still progress. Nothing to be upset about.
Just need to remember that I will always be judged for "my tone" no matter what "words" I use. Sucks that I've been fighting "my tone" since I was 6! Should have been a Drill Sargent, or in some other line of work that requires a decisive "aka as bossy" tone of voice.

I know what you mean about tone. I have what is known as "resting b*tch face". I am aware of it and always try to put a little smile on instead. People would think I was standoffish because of it. Whoever said it takes more muscles to frown than to smile did not know me!

RcKc are you my doppelganger? I also suffer from RBF to go with the "tonal" issue. Keep a mirror on my desk to ensure I'm smiling when speaking with the "Dumas's". Make sure to include a little joke or compliment in the course of the conversation to try and lighten the "tone", but... heavy sigh. Totally agree, smiling or at least trying to force my RBF into a "smile" is definitely a work out.
