been gone for a min... might be sparse with entries... so I have a 1 in 4 chance of having celiac disease. ... it would explain a lot..... I had some bad foods when in canada for a visit.... seems to have triggered me ... In a lot of pain... god damned gluten is in everything
...

my sister and her kids were diagnosed. my cousin and her kids as well....

not lookin good for me...

upside my back didn't get any worse other than the severe arthritis lol... joint is twice the size. Dr is surprised in doing so well. told me what ever I'm doing to keep going.. to keep doing it.

weight is basically the same.... but I'm super bloated and have horrible stomach pain... no no not womanly things... but I have a drs. appointment to start figuring out the celiac and do the blood work and if need the biopsy

I may have to re think my diet again... but not too much cause lchf is pretty much gluten free anyway.

I've been wondering where you were. I hope you get a good diagnosis, and that you feel better soon.

I quit dairy and grains almost two years ago...just because. I felt so much better I stayed with it. LCHF can be gluten free - good luck!

I hope you avoid celiac and it turns out you have something less serious like I have -- IBS-A. I still have to avoid wheat, but I don't have to worry about the implications of celiac or the cross-contamination issues. If you need a few gluten-free recipes using oats and buckwheat but none of the high-glycemic flours, just message me. I am especially proud of my pumpkin muffins.

Dang! Hope the Dr. gets you all figured out so you can be more comfortable. Low carb cuts out gluten rich foods, bread, pasta, etc. Good luck.

Being diagnosed with Celiac was the best thing that ever happened to me. It clarified where my troubles were coming from and how to fix them. No one ever tries to talk me out of my low carb lifestyle; it just tell them I have celiac and they bend over backwards to accommodate me. It's great! I fixed my arthritis, started onto a steady weight loss; feel better all around. I don't have to question or figure it out; it just is and it's not hard to stick to. It simplified my life and made me healthier. So, think about embracing it as a good thing! It's really not hard to follow - a lot like LCHF. You do have to be careful eating out though in places that are not enlightened about gluten.

rhontique -- what I like is looking at it the opposite way: Going gluten free cuts out so many high carb foods that it's really helpful in losing weight. It forced me to learn how to make things like gravy without flour -- and because I eat low-glycemic, which does not accommodate rice flour, tapioca flour, etc., it's forced me to limit myself to oats, nut flours, and quinoa, which are much healthier. Still, I'm grateful that my problem is only sensitivity to the fructans in wheat and not celiac, which is much more serious.

Well considering my reaction to gluten and my son too... he bloats like crazy and has diarrhea.. poor guy... I really need to find out for his sake. I'm switching him to gluten free already and he seems to be doing better..... it really would explain many of my problems.... like it would suck, but there are worse things and I should count myself lucky

Pumpink butter!! I'd have to try that too!!! that sounds amazing! well apparently it can affect way more than just your digestive tract. .. and I've had issues with vitamins and arthritis and a host of other things and I guess it's all symptoms of celiac. so on one hand it would be horrible to be diagnosed with it... but on the other, then I know what I'm dealing with

The bad food wasn't poutine was it? That would be very bad. Your back must feel better from the weight loss though? Have you ever read The Arthritis Cure?
