That is some serious self control right there. No way can I limit myself to 1/2 cup. I eat Halo Top by the pint....

Yep, with ice cream, what I used to eat as a serving boggles me!!! Suggestion though...if you get a chance to pick up a food scale, go for it! I confess to getting a little obsessive with mine but it really helps measure out portions of high ticket (carbs or calorie) foods. And most of all....enjoy that ice cream!!! After a few weeks without, it's gonna taste soooooooo good!!

A scale has been on my wishlist for awhile Vickie! Eyeing and guessing oz of meat and thangs has been stressing be big time. I'm hoping to have one in the house in two weeks by the time the next mini challenge starts. Not accurately measuring my food is the next bad habit I'm going to work on for the 10% challenge. I'm guessing I haven't been too far of as of yet since I'm losing, but I can always do better!

I am like you. It is not uncommon for me to eat 1/3 of the carton just because I can. I need to start buying the ice cream cups to help me with portion control. I just wish they had a variety of (good) flavors/brands in the cups.
I am the same way with sherbet too!

Enjoy your reward! I'm going now to get avocados for the challenge. They opened a new food market around the corner, so going there with my coupon. I need to get a portion scale too. That would be very helpful with a lot of my grazing food, like Cashew Clusters, pistachios, and other nuts. Have a good one!

I know what you mean Re: serving size. Growing up it was usually an overflowing plate/bowl. Looking back now, I wish i set the foundation for better portion control.

You guys need Halo Top in your life. It’s so good. 240 cal per PINT and 24 grams protein. I would so be lying if I said I haven’t eaten it for breakfast before.

Yasss Joe, I unfortunately set my kid up that way too. We all need to relearn how to eat in this house.

I bugged my local grocery store to stock it until they caved. Now it's so popular they can barely keep it on the shelf. Here's the link that shows where it's currently being sold: http://www.halotop.com/where-to-buy/

Notelaine - thanks for the reco's on the Halo Top. I'd just recently heard about it and had been curious. I've also seen one called Arctic Zero - have you tried that? Any preference between the two? On the Halo Top - anything currently on the market you can compare the consistancy to?
