Worried. Am facing the first really big challenge since starting the diet. From Fri-Sun i have an out of state conference (so no fat-fast challenge for me this weekend):(
That means multiple lunches and dinners that I'm not cooking, and I'm not even sure what the options will be. I'll be eating with foodies at some great places at least for two meals (and really want to partake in the yumminess). Also, lots of opportunities for wine. And (might be TMI) I get socially overwhelmed sometimes, so a glass of wine is a reaaaally nice thing to have at big events. UGH.
Keto has been going so well (11 lbs down in 25 days!), I would hate to blow it while out of town. Maybe if i manage to maintain and don't gain it will be ok. . .but if i fall out of ketosis, will i have another few weeks of keto-flu to overcome when i get back? Gah. Sorry for the fretting...wish me luck (and send over some willpower if you have some to spare!) hope everyone else's weekend is great, and look forward checking in on everyone's continued progress (y'all are so inspiring) when i get back. That is a tough one. Does your hotel have a workout area? Or maybe a nice scenic place to go for a walk? I have no willpower - throw wine and pizza in front of me and I lose control. lol. Sometimes, if you can just break away for 10 minutes when the goodies appear, it is enough to refocus. Wish you luck. I don't know what ketosis is, so I hope I helped a bit.

Can you pack some snacks that fit your WOE so you can manage just to eat the stuff on the plates that works and bypass the rest? Surely at the foodie-friendly restaurants you'll be able to order some yummy LCHF stuff! Good luck, and enjoy!

thanks for the good ideas (and the sympathy) :) yes, there is a workout room (guess i'm getting up early), and i could definitely pack some small bags of nuts so i'm not famished when meals come along. at least the weather is supposed to be good there, maybe i can find time to take a walk in the sun.
