I didn't realize how my sweet & low in my morning coffee added up to so many carbs. I went without it this morning and just added some heavy cream to my coffee, it will take some getting used to, but I am more than willing to make the change. I've tried coconut oil in my coffee in the past and it was ok, may get back into that again.
No eating today until lunch. I'm ok though, had the no sweet & low coffee this morning, and I'm not hungry at all. I think I'm starting to reap the benefits of low carbing with the lose of hunger.

Hi - I gave up all sweeteners, even the no calorie ones and I think it has helped me tremendously! Of course, I'm only 6 days in...Definitely helping with food cravings. Good luck - you can do it!

I use a little stevia once in a while, but not on a daily basis. Liquid form is better carb wise than the powder.

Jenn, if you have't tried it yet, when you put your fat in the coffee, try to blend it with something like a thunder stick (immersion blender) or like a drink blender, nutra-ninja, etc... I had just put the fat in my coffee in the beginning and wasn't all that interested but once I blended it, it became amazing.. Just finished up 2 cups of coffee with 20g of coconut oil & 20g of butter..... Very very filling for me.

Yes.. it was popularized & monetized via 'Bullet Proof Coffee' but don't buy into the marketing, it's essentially fat + coffee. Sometimes add a few drops of vanilla extract, etc.. Maybe even heavy cream. I tend to just use coconut oil & butter; got to use some sort of blender to get it mixed up properly.

I use coconut oil, and substitute heavy cream for the butter. Vanilla and cinnamon make it soooo good! And it fills you up for such a long time.

Bulletproof coffee is great!!! It works very well before my long runs, it's my main fuel :) plus it is an appetite suppressor as well and the fats in it are good fats,so i'm not afraid of it :)

Yay! I get to "talk" about my coconut oil coffee! I love love love it. I only use 1 tbs of coconut oil to save on calories. It is AWESOME! Absolutely takes away hunger! Probably the number 1 item in my weight loss arsenal!!!

Bulletproof coffee is basically a liquid fat bomb. I haven't tried it, but have no doubt of it's effectiveness.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I've tried coconut oil in my coffee in the past, but only stirred it in and it wasn't fantastic, not bad, but not all the good either. I will try getting something to blend it with and see how that works, I also want to give the butter a try also.

Oh, yes... BPC! 😀 PHIL... it IS like a liquid fat bomb, except you've got antioxidants, and appetite suppressing and energizing caffeine thrown into the mix.

BPC definitely needs to be blended. It would be nice and creamy .

Stirring Coconut Oil, or Butter doesn't work well. I prefer not to use the Coconut Oil, but instead just go with Butter. Specifically, Kerrigold Grass Fed Irish Butter - unsalted....8oz Coffee, and hit that with the stick blender, just like a Latte. As for the Sweet n' Low, it's only 1gram of carbs per packet...the mental addiction and wanting sweets afterwards is another matter.
