Wk 14 day1 pregnancy: forgot to weigh in today. yesterday i received terrible news from the NIPT results, i never had this testing done with my first 2, all i wanted was the gender early. I had breakfast at 10am, didnt eat again until 5pm... Called dons work and had him come home early cuz i vas in tears for hours... However, thanks to my need to excessive research, i found out that giving a high risk is common with this company, and moms are considering suing Natera for this malpractice. I could understand it.... All this did was move my sonogram up 3 weeks, unfortunately the hospital they referred me to wont allow our youngest in and hes been so interested in this process with the baby and loves the sonograms. Anyhooo, im supposed to eat an extra 300 cals per day, but with my already elevated weight, i may not, they recommend gaining .5 lb per week from this point on... 😩

I really don't get it, is your body not able to draw on the extra weight you're carrying? I think I would do some research (from reliable sources, like Mayo Clinic) to see if gaining that much weight is really necessary. However, I wish you and that baby all the best. 💜💚💛

God never gives us more than what we can deal with. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1-9

you have a growing baby inside of you, eat like they're saying you should. You can get back on your diet after you have the baby

Half a pound a week for 26 weeks is just 13 lbs. And you are growing a 6 to 9+ pound human in there... so it is truly mostly the baby... you would only be gaining 4 to 7 lbs. Providing nutrition to you and your baby now will help you later. Don't stress 300 calories.
