The mystery is over, from my food poisoning, so beware. There has been a cheese recall which included Del Taco, Taco Bell, and many others that use shredded cheese. Listeria can be a killer, but usually you survive it unless you’re immune-compromised, so don’t have cheese for a while. It’s not only my state CA, but many others, TX a major one as well. Del Taco has contacted me, as I left a comment in one of their ads. Just no nachos for now. In fact, anything with shredded cheese.😩 I would tell a cheese joke, but this is no laughing matter, plus that would be too cheesy. The good news is that Listeria is easily killed by heating food to a high enough temperature, so I know they didn’t hardly heat it for it was ready in 30 secs. Blue Bunny ice cream I just loved so much and they had a recall because of Listeria, so it broke my heart not to use them any more for they had a second breakout just a year later. So no nachos or Blue Bunny, what is this world coming to… heartbreaking!!!😁 Shows you where my love of life is, in food!!!🙃😋 Oh, and by the way, I could have ran that .00010K, 10 times over!!!💪 Have a Fantastic Friday!!🌺🌦️ Adults are always asking children what they want to be when they grow up because they're looking for ideas.

I also hate all of the recalls and nasty food. Time to crack down on this and fine these people big time.

Oh no! Sadly, though I believe it. Lately, I’ve been looking up health inspection reports for the restaurants we eat at to make sure they’re in compliance or we don’t eat there. It’s just horrifying to read some of them.🤢 I am glad you are on the mend. Stay away from Del Taco.

Solid block of cheese, grated at home just before you eat it, is the safest way to go.

Morticia, because they not only recalled shredded cheese, but also good old American sliced cheese that now is being recalled. I told my husband no dishes with cheese for at least a month. Everything seems to have cheese.😳😕

Neicy, the one bad thing is that they no longer inspect restaurants like they use to.😟 That was a big investigation they had on the news. Yet, it is always scary when you’re not the one in control of how they handle food. We always eat out, so I am shocked I haven’t been sick more often.

I'm not sure that a life without cheese is worth living ;), but at least it's good to know where your discomfort is coming from, and even better to know that it was temporary.

This is what happened with my favorite salad mix, which has been off the shelves almost a month. Thankfully, i don’t use the cheese in my salads most of the time, but i do miss the spicy pepitas that come in the bag.

Alberta, my mother used to do that as well. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a block of cheese, but beware American cheese also has a recall too.😟

EvaSieteTres, so I’m gonna try not to buy anything that involves cheese for at least a month, for that was horrible what I went through. Dang, if that’s not almost impossible for me. Katsolo, I don’t use cheese much in our salads either. I didn’t know though how much I did use it in other dishes - to do without it is pretty hard. What is spicy pepitas? Sounds too spicy for me anyway, sorry you’re missing it. I’ll have to check that out some day when I get the courage to try spicy.😁👍

Happy*Snappy, it’s been very hard, and I didn’t even realize how much I use cheese, to find lunches to enjoy without cheese.😟 Today we’re going to have chicken pot pie, no cheese involved.👍
