Baby carrots are just regular carrots that have been reject by quality control and are then extruded through a machine till they get to the centers.— then sold as “baby” carrots

There is a lot of things people don't realize. I own an 18 wheeler and we pick up fruit that has been put to speel in warehouses for a couple of years and brought out to ripen then sold. Esp. apples, so you are not buying fresh fruit esp in the winter

Tonya Palmer— exactly. That’s why when you bring fruit home from the store it suddenly goes from ripe to spoiled almost overnight.

Oh yes, then the remainder of the rejected carrot is packaged and sold as “pre shredded” carrots for your convenience

The stores and manufactures only carry or make what people will buy. It takes 2 seconds to shred our own carrots even if you do it by hand and you are getting a fresher product.
