Good Afternoon, FS Warriors! Well, the back is still too sore to push it, but I'm getting up even earlier now. Woke up the tune of a hairball being coughed up by one of the cats. Yeah, "Good morning to you too!" Gotta love it. Been up at 3:00 the last two mornings. Going to make an appointment with the doctor for my routine checkup and see what he says about the back. Got a little hip pain too, but I've had the remnants of a pinched nerve for a couple years now, and don't know if it's that or I'm just worn out. Either way, I'll continue to run. I can either be wore out and lean, or wore out and fat; I'll choose the former. I've decided to lay off the bungee jumping though; maybe I'll settle for one of those inversion tables, or maybe somebody is selling one of those medieval torture racks for stretching people. I think the back is getting better though; only hurts when I jar it. You ever start to trip, or slip, and catch yourself? That's when it hurts. Couldn't imagine slipping on ice right now. It would be, "Just kill me now."
It's evaluation time. Just got done with the Leadership Seminar. Now I'm catching up on the work I missed (but I really didn't miss it), and now have to get everyone's evaluations done over the next week. I like my job, but I'd like it a lot more if I only had to work every other day, or even every other week. I still want to go out and play, when I should be working. If they would just bring me chocolate milk and cookies and let me take a nap in the middle of the day . . . They take everything so seriously around here.
I just bought an Ipad mini, and it's pretty impressive. I had a color Nook. Gave that to DW; she only cares about the books and the games mostly; I wanted something a little more powerful for the music on the go, and the work stuff. We're both happy. Well, we're both happy about
that anyay. :D
We're having everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner thursday. We were going to have it at the Granddaughter's house, but that didn't work out. I'm not very demanding normally when it comes to the cuisine for the holidays - except for Thanksgiving; we
will have turkey, dressing and gravy for our Thanksgiving dinner. I let them have anything they want for Christmas, New Year's, or Easter, but I'm going to have turkey on Thanksgiving. I can't tell you why; I guess it just guarantees that I'll get it at least once a year. I love DW's sage dressing and gravy. Usually, she even makes it for the church and the American Legion dinners, so I end up getting it at least three times over the Thanksgiving holiday. :) I can even eat that dressing cold. Well, that's all I have to say about that.
One more work day! Yay! It's actually supposed to ba a decent weekend. I've got lots to do, of course. Ever see the Pink Panther movies where Cato attacks Inspector Clouseau? That's what I feel like when I open the kennel door and let Mack into my workshop. He lunges at me. The first day with the bad back, it caught me unexpectedly and about killed me. I must be getting better now; I brace for shock and don't even feel it. I know I could tell him not to do it, but what fun would that be? Haha, he's an 8 year old puppy. I have to wrestle with him in the morning and the evening or the day just wouldn't be the same.
OK, enough rambling. Got to go. Toodles!
