Each day I am starting to realize more & more, how important those 'little things' are in my success toward health, fitness & weight loss. That 'spoonful' that I add to my baked potato or whole wheat sandwich or dip my chicken nuggets in...can really make a difference! Illustrations like this help me to stop and think before I automatically add what I've always added in the past...and consider trying something that's gonna be better for me in the long run. By making a better condiment choice, it may allow just enough room in my calorie budget to fit in a 'treat' later in the day.😀
The chicken graphic helps me to make the best choices both at the grocery store and in my kitchen. I know I CAN have any kinda chicken I want to...there are no 'poultry police' at my house...but if I truly want to look & feel my best, I'm gonna want to make the best possible choices for success. 👍
Same with snacking. I love that the FS app keeps track of the macros for me throughout the day! I use the app to help make snack & meal choices, based on what macros I have enough of already or that I need to bump up. Running a little low on protein?? Then I'm gonna head for my high protein, non-fat Greek yogurt or my low-fat cottage cheese! If my protein's already at a sufficient level, then I'll consider a starchy veggie with a healthy fat. I'll check how much sodium I've already consumed before snacking on pickles or salted nuts. It's so helpful!!
I know that each of our regimens look very different and our lifestyles are very different too. But I think this 'habit' of LOOKING for little ways to change can be helpful for us all 💙 Have a wonderful weekend, my friends! 🙋♀️👋
