😲 73# loss in 10 weeks is very ambitious. That’s a little more than 7# per week.

I definitely think you can be under 250 -- possibly 225 with MUCH effort. Don't think 200 is achievable, unless you have gastric bypass surgery during that time, and even then it would be a stretch.

that would be very hard I agree with Debbie 🙂

Well, I will take it a week at a time. 250 is still better than the 293 I was before I started with FS.

I am losing about 17lbs a month, which I think is quite good. But you are a bit heavier than me - I suspect you could do a least 20-25lbs a month with huge focus and a lot of IF? That could leave you very close to 200lbs for September. Why not give it a shot, and do your very best to get there?? I would aim for 40-50% of your RDI calories, and try to get in movement, walking standing (jog?) as much as possible through your day, until your comfortable with more exertive exercises!!

250 is a much better goal for that timeframe. Shoot for 2lbs a week and worry more about your long term health than an event. You'll get there and you don't need to crash diet to fit on a timeline.

@Bandrai what is IF I see people use the term...

Msea13 it's intermittent fasting which alone isn't a bad system but combined with advice to half your recommended daily intake (RDI) or calories is dangerous. IF is usually just eating in a different schedule and things like OMAD (one meal a day) or 16:8 are types of IF eating schedules. None who isn't a medical professional should suggest anyone eat anything more than 500 kcal under their RDI.

The question is do you believe you can and are you taking healthy steps to get there. There is no universal magic weight loss plan. You know your body better than anyone else. If you have a good doctor than discuss a nutrition plan with them OR get a referral to a nutritionist. My former GI had one in his office on staff for that very reason. Whatever you decide to do just be careful and be healthy. The number on the scale is just a number. What we look(?) and feel like are the important things.

I am going to try both OMAD and IF. I will just go with I lose What I lose and be happy with that. Thank you all for your sage advice, I deeply appreciate it. I love our community here at FS.
