Saturday's Journal: Something must be wrong with me because I can't think of anything to write. Maybe it is that dirty kitchen floor and big pile of laundry that is distracting me.

I am home all week and still have a dirty kitchen floor and pile of laundry. LOL! Doesn't matter if you work or not.... housework is never ending. Enjoy your weekend!

Draglist - Must be I to adjust my attitude because I keep looking for the cleaning fairy to show up.

Mom - You are right. The more time we have away from work the more crap we find to do.

ClassicRocker - You are too funny! Isn't amazing to know guys exist who cook, clean, got to the mall, and bring home chocolate!

Draglist - My Mom worked so by age 11 I did all of the cooking, cleaning and looking after my baby sister. Now I work but still have to do it all. Funny how some of us pick up the "routine" while others view it as drudgery?

*raises hand on voting for drudgery* When I grew up we were given jobs to do and then my mom would criticize what we did. So to this day, I hate housework. I'll blame on mommy dearest. LOL!

You could always come to Montana and shoveled snow, we got about 12 inches in the valleys over the last two days, it is so beautiful outside today. I got out and did some exercise with the snow shovel, not that it replaces walking, however walking on slick icy roads is not the brightest thing in the world to do.

Mom - Let's win the lottery and hire a full housekeeping staff!

Bruce - You are so right - at least I don't have to shovel snow. I just needed a little pity party. Now, on to clean the bathrooms!

My DH is just like you, Draglist. His father passed when he was very young and hubby learned to do all sorts of things and had no "issues" that it was a woman's job. He is a better cook than I am. He sews, decorates, remodels, drywalls, does plumbing, carpentry and wallpapers, electrical work, etc ....and he even showed me how to knit 1 pearl 2 . LOL! He has worked all his life and never complains about doing jobs around the house. I would rather work outside gardening, mowing, landscaping and he is content to work indoors. Right now, I do it all.. but not very well. He works full time with tons of overtime. I like a clean house, I just don't like being the one to do it. I am with you Buffy ... housekeepers will be our first expense when we win that lottery!!!

I love those pity parties, oh what goes great with a good pity party is a nice big cake and a big serving of ice cream, but those are a no no no. Gosh darn it.

I was in your shoes when I worked too...the weekend wasn't long enough to get the house done and have a few minutes t relax....Now...my house is not as clean and I am home most of the time....whats with that???...

I'll take the party without the cake and ice cream. You can have it Bruce.

BHA - Yeah me too, what is up with that? LOL

It's called time management. When you work full-time and have limited time to get things done, you just do it or it won't get done. We have all day, all week, all month, etc etc .... but it does get done .... eventually. LMAO!

Working full time and getting in exercise most days. There simply aren't enough hours to get everything done that a person wants to.

Yes, hope you are having a great weekend, my friend, and one spent doing something for you... And not just floor washing or laundry! Xoxox
