Draglist's Journal, 25 January 2014

Saturday morning weigh in at 212.4. Some regularity issues are keeping me from a new low! This next thing should help with that... today's breakfast! I went to IHOP after a surprise call last night from an old friend who is in town visiting his son. I ordered the "Split Decision" breakfast. Without my reading glasses, it looked like two eggs, two sausages, two pieces of toast, and two pancakes. Cool... I'll splurge on the pancakes. When it came, I realized that the 'toast' I saw on the menu photo was FRENCH toast! Of course, I ate it AND the pancakes but also ordered a side of rye toast to eat with my eggs. Add the syrup and butter and it cost me 1600 calories or so to walk out of there. No problem... it's indulgence day and I got to catch up with my old friend Denny. Just ate a delicious navel orange for lunch and will do barbeque subs with Denise tonight, so it's gonna be a big day! But will jump back on the bandwagon tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Reading glasses are especially important at restaurants! I did the same thing last time we ate out. Thought I was ordering grilled shrimp but got fried. And yes, I ate that too. But, like you said - We will get there!

Today is a free day, so go for it! My DH uses my reading glasses in restaurants. Heaven forbid if I ever leave them at home. He and I both would have to just point at the menu when ordering and then be surprised at what we get. LOL!
