Thanks Melissa ❤ I went to the library to get books before my getaway with the girls next week. Hubby came along to download new map data for our car's GPS on the high speed Internet at the Library. Our home Internet leaves much to be desired & is all that is available to us. We stopped by for lunch after....it was nice 😊

Ahhh..u had Kasekuchen... I don't know if yours was authentic but german cheesecake is very different than NY cheesecake. My German mom used to make it... The schnitzel looks good!

My library has been closed since March. I miss it. They are on line so I can look through the catalogs, pick a book, “check it out” and down load onto my iPad but it’s not the same. I don’t buy books often because I read too fast to make it worth spending a lot. So far, none of the used book stores are open.

Diana, I do believe it was authentic. It was very similar to the recipe from my German Grandmother that my family has made for years. The couple that own the resteraunt are German.

Kenna, I'm sorry you can't access your library. Ours reopened June 15th. We have a brand new library that is very roomy & clean. Due to Covid, plexiglass shields surround the central desk for checkout. It is easy to distance & people wear masks. They also have a service where you can request books online & pick them up at an arranged time from the front porch. They started that service prior to reopening & have continued it. Like you, I prefer to read real books. I joined the library when I retired to save money on books. I read quite a bit.
