@Kswamlow. Thank you. Some people might think "you only lost weight" what is the big deal?, but for me it really is a personal achievement. I have been around 60kg for 5 years and thought I would NEVER lose that excess weight so I didn't even try. This year I got real, got honest with myself and low and behold, calorie counting does work!! Never believed it did and I am happy to have proved myself wrong. :)

@Cademagalhaes I type under correction here as I don't track exercise, but I think your number of 1850 is NOT how much exercise you need to do, but is the amount of calories your body needs to get through 24 hours of the day. If you exercised for 1850, I think you would probably run a marathon or be in hospital :)
Your exercise total of 285 is recorded against your calorie intake. So if you eat 1850 calories for the day, but did 285 or exercise, you are actually in deficit for the day of an additional 285 calories. It could also be that if you ate an additional 200 calories over your daily intake, with your exercise, you are still at minus an additional 85 calories. You do not have to exercise at 1850. Hope this helps you.

Congratulations @Mscornwall. You inspire me. I’m hanging in there because you said our weights are similar and you also struggled to lose weight but it happened. I’m so happy to see you reached your goal weight 😁

@AuberJean Pepper-Anne. Thank you :) Don't give up or give in. Not on this journey. What did I know about weight-loss at the start? I thought it is only 9kg, 3 or 4 months and DONE! Yeah right...!! Didn't happen. Scale went slow, it got stuck, it LIED to me!! :) It was a real slow struggle but I stuck it out with help from here and I made it to ONE stop on my journey. SIX months later. Now I need to continue in a different way, but it is still the same journey: the one to a healthier me. We are similar weights at start and end and we have similar weight loss goals, so stick it out, be patient with yourself, keep on keeping on because you WILL get there too. You can win this. I never believed I would shed that darn weight, but I did, so you can too. I know you can!!

Big thank you to Kather1612, Fryodette, EscapistArt and BusaMabuse :) @Kather1612: stick to your plan because you can and will get there :) and to EscapistArt: there were days when I really thought eff this, I can't do it... but stubborness is a good thing because it helped me get through. Time was my friend on this journey and helped me overcome my impatience with myself. :)
Good luck to everyone who still battles on everyday: it IS worth it!!

How tall are you Ms Cornwall, seems we have the same weight goal of 52kg, Im curious if I have about the right goal in mind for my height

LOL Blood Rose because 'tall' is not a word used to describe me. I am only 160cm / 1.6m 'tall'. Not much there in terms of height... Depends how much fat/muscle you are carrying in comparison. What I have discovered is now I carry my same "ideal" weight a LOT differently. I am definitely not as lean as I was years ago as it seems I have swopped out fat for muscle as I have aged. Definitely not the same 52kg from years ago as I can see it on my thighs and stomach. I used to run before and I don't anymore so the fat percentage is definitely higher. Anyway its all good to me because I haven't been in my 20s in 7000 years ;)

haha i was thinking 52 was gonna be too low for me but since I can beat your lack of height with my own pitiful 157cm I think I have the right goal in mind. Will definitly keep the muscle mass in mind as I am exercising a fair amount at the moment
