Okay so here's the scoop. My scale I was using was my work scale cause lets be honest. I refused to buy a scale for big people. I was waiting to buy one till I was not over the max weight on the normal scales from walmart. I refuse to buy a plus size scale so I have been using the one we have at work. It officially will not work and I try every dang day. I have no idea if I have lost any but I feel like it. So I am going to wait two weeks for my doctor's appointment and weigh myself there but I am not buying a scale till I can weigh on a regular one. So I am going to keep up with my exercise and my calories and see where I get in two weeks. I hope that I can blow this fat away. Sometimes I just want to cut it off no lie. It makes me so angry with this beer belly that I did not earn with beer lol I blame myself and ben and jerry's :) I hope everyone is doing good.

I don't know why but I guess with the lanyard and walkie I thought you worked in a clinic. I hear ya on the 'wouldn't it be nice if this could all just be shaved off'. I guess mine would be Idaho Potato belly. I'm not really sure.

I am an administrative coordinator for an adult special needs day program. That's why I have the lanyard and walkie at all times ;) I love what I do. My clients make my day every day. Purest souls I have ever met.

At your current weight, you should be able to use a standard scale. Most standard scales weigh 300-350 lbs.

Look in Dr Leonards catalog online. a talking scale...I believe goes to 350. I love mine!

Most of the ones at Walmart here only go up to 250 lbs and then the heavy duty ones go to 300 lbs. I just refuse to buy anything that says heavy duty in order to find out how plus size I am. I know it sounds stubborn but by not allowing myself to utilize these plus size things out there like the bigger seats on roller coasters, or the handicap stall I have made myself realize that it was not okay for me to be my size. I tend to get used to plus size adaptive equipment and then it becomes normal and I just let myself get bigger and bigger. But since i set a standard that the only thing i will get plus size is clothing it has helped me tremendously. I got used to always ordering a large cause i was large with food, or using the handicap stall so I had more room with my large body. Or even avoiding stairs cause they hurt too much. I used my weight as a crutch for so long that without this drastic change and stubbornness i wouldn't have come this far. Hence why I wont buy a heavy duty plus size scale.

Not stubborn at all! Your refusal to use adaptive support will continue to assist you in your weight loss journey. U have done an incredible job thus far and know what works for u and what doesn’t. You WILL reach your goal and someday celebrate having that scale. Happy Easter!
