I'm so hungry.

I do really good about eating a healthy breakfast and a healthy lunch, but I'm always hungry this time of day. I think I also burned more calories today, because I'm freezing cold in my office. As in almost shivering. I'd like to think that this means I've burned more calories, but I feel like my body just shuts down and saves energy when I'm this cold lol.

Tonight I'm eating my favorite salad for dinner and no it isn't low calorie. It is 700 calories, but there is a lot of food. There are 2 cups of lettuce. 1/4 cup candies walnuts, 1/2 cup grapes halved, and 1/2 apple chopped up, and 4 oz brie cut up (you can use goat cheese to make it healthier, but I want the full experience). Others might add a dressing, but I find this salad juicy enough with the grapes and apples cut up. Their juices seep out over my salad and it is better than any dressing anyway. The brie and the nuts give good protein and fat which satisfy longer anyway, but I'm dreading having to go home and wait for dinner when my husband gets home so I planned out my healthy snack.

I don't want to starve and I know I won't, but today I'm definitely hangry.

I am also a big angry that I was told the lie that breastfeeding burns calories. I breast feed or pump all day long and I've been doing it for almost a year and I swear I'm not burning any extra calories. Sure my friend who doesn't even use an electric pump and just suctions on two ad hoc bottles and within 10 minutes has 10 oz and can do this every hour lost all of the baby weight within a month, but that is not what most of my friends and I experience. I pump, pump, pump and feed the baby to only get 2-3 oz at a time 4 was the most I ever got and my baby is fine, and didn't need supplementation. He is healthy and happy. But I never just dropped weight like my friend talked about. The idea of not being able to keep on the weight that she talks about is just foreign to me.
