Well, I tried a burrito last night and ended up eating only half of it because the wrap took a lot of room in my stomach. My dogs ended up getting the other half and they loved it. My new diet is going well, but still find myself wanting to snack at night. Old habits die hard. Right now, I'm eating a piece of fruit when I have the munchies. I don't keep snack foods in my house which is good for me when I get the munchies. I'm still fighting being so tired in the evening after working all day. I wish that would go away, but maybe it's a combination of my age, lower caloric intake and having had surgery less than 2 months ago. I guess I should give my body a break and things should change eventually.

Well, I've been back to work for a couple weeks now and feeling more normal. I'm eating regular food and enjoying that much better. Fresh veggies and fruit are some of my favorite things to eat. I tolerate them well and they taste really good. My infection is gone and the hematoma continues to shrink. I went to my surgeon's office and was told that I need to exercise more and they are correct--I do. I went to my nephew's college graduation this weekend and walked quite a bit and started using my ellipical machine for 10 minutes at a time. I've been on a plateau for the past 2 weeks which is still as frustrating as ever, but I have to be patient with my body. I still don't eat much bread and am kind of scared to even try it since the surgery. I have eaten pasta and tolerate that OK, but I don't go overboard on it. I went to my primary physician last week and he changed a few meds--I'm off my b/p meds, potassium, cholesterol meds, and GERD meds. I'll only be on the vitamins and my migraine meds. I'm so glad to get rid of more medications. I'm hoping to get rid of my migraine meds once I get closer to my weight goal. Everything seems to be improving overall. FYI: I have lost some hair due to the stress on my body after surgery. Thank God I have thick hair.
