I'm gaining some strength back just a tiny bit. I'm kind of amazed how good I feel after being sick for so many weeks. I still have temptations to eat too much and the wrong foods, but I did much better yesterday too, even if I pushed the calorie limit. Exercising makes me want to eat better so it's a reverse catch-22. All things spiral upward in this case. :)

I got legionnaires disease back in late june and was sick for over 6 weeks. I'm just recovering now and have started the gym again this week. I gained a lot of weight because I didn't lose my appetite unfortunately and I ate badly while I was sick.

Alright, is this past night the proof that I can't eat certain foods at all? I went to help out friends of mine last night and they decided to feed me. They bought me food from Panda Express and I asked them to only get one main food. I got orange chicken (very little batter on it) with the noodles. I then got bored at their house and raided their cupboard and ate a couple of handfuls of chocolate chips, 4 Graham Crackers, and a small bag of blue corn chips. That's a lot of calories in an evening, but up until that point I had been doing great. And I gained 3 pounds over night???? I'm beginning to wonder about the accuracy of my scales again. Just now I stepped on and it said 264, but then I waited just a few minutes and stepped on again and it said 263. I get that I gained weight yesterday, but did I even gain 3 pounds? I didn't lose 1 pound in 5 minutes (which is what my scale said). Oh well, I'm probably straining at gnats. I know I gained weight from my less than wise eating choices (and late at night at that) and I'll just have to make LARGE amounts of weight loss. My scale will certainly pick up big changes.
At least my BP didn't get damaged in the process. It's looking great.

Exercising is long, but fun. I'm going to do my Tabata style again tomorrow. I hate the lung pain.

I had a great day at the gym. That elliptical workout seems to do the most good for me as far as weight loss with minimal risk of injury. I overate in calories yesterday by eating a pound of burger last night and that got the urge out of my system. I still lost weight a little bit, thank goodness. I'm also having great blood pressure. Yee haw.
