ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...
just went back to see where i left off...well penny had to go to Ohio State Vet Hospital for a MRI...that showed a dead spot on her spine and the neurologist told us that if after two weeks of INTENSIVE therapy she did not walk we would have to make a decision about putting her down and just today she took about 8 steps on her own...oh yeah...
dinners have been very reasonable (except the ones on the road)...tonights is boneless ribs with bbq sause, parmed rizzaro rice and maybe a veggie...lol...
off to read some journals...

ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...
sorry for being gone for so long...penny is very needy and clingy right now...she still cannot walk, so we did a laser therapy last night...this was the first of 6 sessions...if she doesnot walk or become weight bearing - we will have to consider surgery at that point...i am doing massage therapy on her now...she has a small protrusion in the c2 vertebrae...
as far as food and exercise...i am eating one meal a day - dinner and my exercise is sitting on the floor and proping penny up...the vet said at this time it is very important to keep her calm...
i will get on track and get back to my yoga - probably in about 2 weeks or so...
not much new to report...here are a couple of new picts...

penny, her daddy and spazzy...spazzy is not happy with the lack of attention she is getting - so she would not look at the camera...

ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...
penny update...we found out that she has compressed vertebrae, c2 and c3, and c3 and c4...there maybe more...so she is going to see a neck surgeon tomorrow at 9:30am...the compression of c2 is what is keeping her from having normal bowels and 3 and 4 are motor movements...we can do chiropractic care and massage therapy after the surgery...she kept me up all night crying because she did not want to be alone...so heres to praying that she wont need surgery and if she does that she will be normal after...
dinner - the stew was awesome...way awesome, we are having leftovers...today i added a little burbon and fresh garlic...will have a salad tonight also...
sorry that i have been so lax in commenting on journals - will be better after pennys situation calms down...thanks for understanding...

ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...
Tuesday evening:after getting back from the vet...penny may have a neck issue between c1 and c2 vertebraes...they took blood work and xrays, the vet called it a luxation - which means a disclocation of the vertebrae...we should find out on wed/thursday what the blood work shows adn if surgery is needed...she also has some fluid on her lungs......this is from not being turned over enough...so now every 3-4 hours we need turn her...
wednesday: the vet called this am...said still waiting on the expert to read the xrays and will call me asap...if anyone needs a wonderful vet let me know...they are keeping up with her even on days off...the hardest part is that she does not understand whats going on and why her body is not working...thank you ...for your prayers and wishes...will update as soon as i hear from the vet - no change this am
as for me...last nights dinner was a total wash out: wendys spicey chicken sandwhich and fries...did not get out of the vet until after 9pm adn with a 45 minute drive home did not hesitate to stop and eat...i know its a bad example to set...so go ahead and yell at me
todays dinner will be much better: i already have the roast in the crockpot simmering in beef brooth with garlic, rosemary and pepper...will add potato, celery, carrots, onions adn what ever else i come up with out of the freezer in a couple of hours...will serve that with a side salad...baby greens (my new find), celery, salad toppers, tomato's, and garlic dressing...

ATTACK OF THE VEGGIES...
hi...update on penny...penny is home with us...she might have some swelling in her neck and or in her legs...not sure yet...have some pills i have to put down her throat...give it a couple of days of watching her to make sure she does not have brain or spinal injuries...
yesterday am: penny is not doing any better and certainly not any worse...she drank some water last night...so that was good...
this morning - penny is not better, again not worse...yesterday she drank alot of water, ate some tuna (off a fork) and drank some gaterade (out of an eye dropper)...shes a little more flexable and has started doing this almost a muscle spasm twist...not sure what she wants...and she has not pee'd...have a call into the vet to see whats going on...she has an appt with the vet tonight at 7:30pm
food wise:...dinner was left over dinner from last night - during the day i have a jonogold apple and a fiber one pop tart...
will check in later on everyone...have a great fs day
