The older I get, the less I want to eat, so Intermittent Fasting is working fine for me. It's slow for me, but I don't really have to think about what I can and can't eat. I just don't eat anything after 6 PM or before 10 AM. My husband and I go out for lunch every day and I try to get something with protein and preferably not fried (at least not all the time) and I have a snack around 5 PM, then I'm not hungry the rest of the day. It's really changed my life since I used to be hungry all the time!

The combination of IF (Intermittent Fasting 16:8) and WW (Weight Watchers) is going well, and relatively painless. Seems kind of slow, but I feel better, so I'm willing to be patient.

On November 11th I started Intermittent Fasting 16:8 in conjunction with Weight-watchers Green. I was on WW for 2 years and just couldn't seem to get beyond a 1 - 2 lb. loss. Going to the workshops kept me able to maintain, but I just couldn't seem to convince myself to track what I ate and actually do the program. Not gaining alone made the program worthwhile.
But I hadn't realized how much damage I was actually doing with evening snacking. Now I stop eating after dinner (sometimes as early as 5PM and never later than 7PM) and don't eat again until at least 16 hours later (usually 10AM, sometimes as late as 11AM). And I'm doing the tracking and working the program in WW. This seems to be working!
I've only lost 6.6 lbs, but I was able to get into my "skinny jeans" this week without feeling like the waistband was trying to strangle me.
So naturally one of my ongoing resolutions for 2020 is to lose weight, but this year it is more specifically to stick to IF and WW. Slowly, but surely, I expect to see the weight come off and to make this my new WOL.
