Well another week another loss. I am proud of myself I passed most of the candy yesterday - I didn't have three different desserts after Easter Dinner - and I kept most of the snacking before dinner in check.
I am most proud however that I did not let one day turn into two, which turns into a week or more. One day of enjoyment does not mean I have to take the whole weekend off from my diet. I sabatoge myself so much that I don't even realize it. I kept looking at the food and my internal monologue was astounding when you really stopped an examined it. I kep tthinking to myself "I deserve that Rosie's Bakery chocolate, chocolate cake" "I've worked hard all week" "The dessert I picked wasn't that good - I need something better."
I am trying to replace those thoughts with positive thoughts. "yes, I worked hard - and I want to be able to see that hard work turn into reslts" "Yes, I deserve this, but I deserve the investment in myself more." "There is nothing better than being there with my family." Doing that in the moment is very difficult.

I am so excited about my loss. I followed 100% and it really shows. Now for the dreaded week 2 - which just happens to include EASTER. I am nervous about Easter. Just all the eating that day!!! there is Candy from one end of the house to the other, just under my nose all day long. Then there is the appetizers, cheese & crackers - usually soemthing wrapped in bacon, and of course more candy. Then there is dinner. I don't make dinner so I have no control over how it is prepared - with butter, and cream and everything.
I am going to enjoy the day and try to keep it moderate. Other than the small bag of jelly beans I bought for my daughter no other candy is coming in the house. All Candy presents will be conveniently left at my aunt's house.
