i am 40 years old and i have type 2 diabetes and pcos. all of my life i have been heavy. it wasn't until 2010 that i found out i had insulin resistance. ive been on metformin since. on january the 5th i had my blood work done and my dr called me to inform me that my A1C was an 11 that was a slap in the face for me. here i am with a 6 yr old and my body is a total mess. ive started diet and exercising ive lost 67 lbs since last january. the most of the weight loss came within the past few months due to stomach bugs. but i can say i do feel alot better. my back isnt hurting and my legs dont feel like gum when i come back from walks. the next step i am taking now is working with a dietitian and we are going forward with gastric bypass surgery. i want to be healthy for myself my daughter and my husband.
