For as long as I can remember I was a skinny 125. Then one day when I stopped paying attention and stopped being active, I gained weight and have been going ever since. Well it is time for me to take the time to get back in the swing of things, become active and eat better, to lose this weight.
I know this will not happen over night and I know that I have a lot of work to do, but if I can quit smoking cold turkey, then I have the will power to do this also.
An added challenge is not having the motivation from others to be healthier, so I will have to work doubly hard not to succumb to the food I know will be more easily available to what actually need to be eating.
As of right now I am using this site, the lose it! app, living strong, sparkpeople, and myfitnesspal to try and figure out the best thing for me.
So basically its all about counting calories for right now.
My goal is to lose 2 lbs a week until I reach my goal, then change that to maintain it for life.
I am definitely open to any suggestions that anyone would like to make, because I honestly will need all of the help that I can get.
