Invited to dinner at a friends. Didn't gorge and chose food carefully and still it was triple my carb intake. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.

I had a very low carb breakfast and was surprised I was not hungry again mid-morning. There is something to the low carb/less hungry theory.
But I also eat when I'm bored despite whether I am hungry or not, so as long as I'm busy at work all is good.
Everything has a lot of carbs, looking for lunch meals I can buy besides going to diners and eating another breakfast!
