Worked really hard this week, and I'm not going to lie, 2lbs is a little disappointing. I was expecting at least 3. But it's still a loss, and at least it is steady. It's more likely to stay off that way. I am not going to lose heart and I will keep at it. I just have to lower my expectations to avoid feeling bad about a loss! I only have one more week until the hubby is home for a weekend, so I seriously need to knuckle down. Going to make my portions a little smaller and see how i get on. Fingers crossed!

Yay! I was hoping for a loss of 4lbs, but 3lbs is better than a gain. I haven't been doing any exercise except walking to the tube station instead of catching the bus, so this is mainly just on eating less food. It can be done. I am going to begin at the gym on Monday, and with any luck, that should help. It really is getting easier to cut down on the portions I eat. I don't feel hungry anymore. I have broken the habit of filling my plate to it's maximum capacity and just putting on what I think I can eat. Preparing my food the night before is definitely a huge help. I don't feel the urge to eat bad things that way, and I know it's ready for me. Another two weeks until the hubby is home for a weekend, I REALLY want him to notice the difference, so I am seriously going to dig deep these next couple of weeks!

This week has been a bit of a challenge, turning down alcohol being the main thing! I know that I can drink, but it's the hangover the next day and the fact that I use that as an excuse to eat crap, not to mention the calories in wine and cider. I just have to reintroduce alcohol into my diet slowly, maybe gin and slimline tonic to start. I am very pleased with the result, and I now know that I CAN do this. I just have to stay focused and maintain my healthier lifestyle. This week I am going to cut my portions down again, as I had tea last night, and was full befor ei had finished. It will definitely help, and I am also going to start the gym next week and swimming the week after as well. BRING IT ON!! I want to lose a noticeable amount of weight before my husband is back from sea on 8th Jul. I have a few weeks to get cracking!!

I have tried many times to lose weight, and given into temptation quite quickly. Today however I had a bit of a wake up call. My doctor weighed me, and was seriously speechless. He couldn't believe it. In a way I feel quite lucky that I am well proportioned and able to hide how heavy I am, but in another way, it's bad! It means I have krept up to 17 stones without really noticing. I was seriously mortified. Although I am quite a happy person in general, and my weight doesn't really bother me, I would love to go shopping and buy clothes based on the way they look and not just because it's all they have in my size. I would love to be able to wear short sleeved vests in the summer and shorts and summer dresses. I am going to do my best and seriously knuckle down, for health reasons as well as being a vain cow!
