What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
what really motivated me to get serious was after a guy blamed his poor bedroom performance on my weight. Yeah, he's a jerk who probably expects all women to look like porn stars, but he had a point. Not only do I get anxiety from body image during it, I know I look bad, too. another big motivator is when I showed some recent friends some pictures of me 3 years earlier when I was a size 5 and one of them never believed they were of me.

the other big factor is my "buffalo hump" fatpad on the back of my neck. I think its hereditary as mom has it too, but someone first pointed it out to me at around 160 lbs and I'm 5'5" which wasn't all that big, I guess I'm just prone. I find it unsightly and feel it makes me look even bigger than I am.

one last thing is that I have some beautiful tattoos, and I look forward to being able to show them off on a beautiful body.

im actually having to do away with most of my pants.... Im 23 but I still love Juniors styles over most Misses and have been able to fit (snugly) in larger sized juniors still. However I am coming to accept the fact that my body is just proportioned differently than when I was 17 means that just because the waist fits the pants do not.... a little bit too much of "crack kills" applies to the last few years of my life lmao. I'm struggling to find Misses pants (I wear 14 in Misses and was wearing 13 or 15 in juniors... its not the size its the cut) that suit my style.

I actually purchased a military-looking faux leather vest jacket thing that is definitely too small for me currently. But they were out of the ones in my size, and had just gotten the fatsecret app and was very motivated and hopeful at losing weight. As of right now I don't regret the purchase.

*I hate when guys tell me I am interesting but that they only like me as a friend. Personally, I attribute this to my weight.

*adulty here: I was "with" a guy recently who had a problem finishing and he blamed my weight for it. Now, i know this may not have been an only factor for him, but it was a real eye opener

*looking at pictures of me over summer when I was 30 lbs lighter and appreciating my body and the way I looked in my outfits as opposed to now

*Being able to look and feel sexy! not just naked but in a cute outfit too. a cute outfit on a cute body looks much better than a cute body on an overweight body.

*ive realized i cant bend forward as well as i used to, and although gross, during bathroom times getting a view of my nether regions is uncomfortable and difficult.

I'm a little similar... 23 and around 190 lbs around 86 kg. I dropped 30 lbs in spring and gained it all back in summer and have gained and lost the same 5-10 lbs a couple times in the last few months. I'm trying for the long haul this time and I'm trying new motivation techniques, I think they'll help. Personally I am setting my goal weights higher so my immediate goal is more easily attainable... kind of taking it one step at a time. Also rather than going on a complicated diet I'm just focusing on calories and high protein. My daily calorie goal I plan on working down over time as I adjust to each one. I am optimistic this time, Im not sure if any of my ideas seem like they'd be effective for either of you but maybe it could help.
