Continuing on Take Shape for Life- Medifast maintenance phase. Have been at goal weight for a month and continue follow the program and have integrated most of the items /food groups. The established habits have made it easy to avoid danger items, ie: desserts, candy , mixed drinks, soft drinks(never again), and lot's of starches and dairy. Now enjoy one to two glasses of red wine almost daily. We have one main lean/green meal daily. I have the following meal regimen which is working: Breakfast: oatmeal or Medifast pancakes daily, followed by a whole-wheat muffin with sugar free jelly and peanut butter. Mid morning: 2% yogurt greek organic with fresh fruit. Lunch: A Medifast soup with crackers,. Mid-afternoon : Medifast shake. ( Celery anytime during the day) Water all day and prior to every meal and/or snack. Infusers used 3 to 4 a day to vary water regimen Dinner: Lean&Green consists of fresh vegetables, 6oz protein, chicken, turkey , (steak once a week) and rarely (for me) fish. Veggies and protein over a bed of romaine with salad dressing we make with lemon juice 1 to 5 ratio with good olive oil and 2 teaspoons of dijon mustard. Pre-bed: Medifast soft serve or pudding with Walden farms chocolate syrup. Apple cinnamon snack crackers added some times.
Also have a banana occasionally or a medifast bar if hungry or traveling and can't prepare one of the other meals above.
Following this plan and maintaining exercise regimen . Continue to have lot's of energy! Life is good...and I don't miss the food vices...and will never ever eat fast food again. If you need incentive the recent HBO 4 part special on Obesity in America is totally eye-opening...think you can find it on youtube. Good luck to each of you with your journey to health.

Now in transition/maintenance. Reached goal weight. Continue eating every 3 hours total 6 times a day, small portions, 3 lean & green and 3 medifast "meals". Program works 38 pounds total loss since January 2nd. No real difficulty after first week adjustment to meal frequency and elimination of most carbs(dairy and potatoes and fruits and alcohol). The fat burning stage kicks in during week one given the metabolism increase. The eliminated food groups are added back in during transition and calorie intake is raised and monitored consistent with exercise. The weekly weigh in becomes the guide as to adding or cutting.
Very satisfied with the Take Shape for Life approach. My wife the coach has shed over 50 lbs and is 10 pounds away from her goal. We both have improved "counts"...BP, cholesterol, and higher energy level...
Highly recommended. Message me if interested , we can help!
