Excited to lose the 2.4 lbs over these past 2 weeks. I like the numbers, slow and easy. Beginning of May I was at 195, so nice progress is being made. I keep telling myself I look good and can look even better, but it won't happen overnight (like we all want!!)
I went out and walked 2+ miles this morning before the real heat of the day settles in. I promised myself that 3 weeks ago and I am happy to report that I have stuck with it. Now I need to get my bike to someplace to get air in the tires and start riding that. Keep it up, you really deserve to be happy, healthy and a great active partner for Maurice.

Faltering a little today. Barely eaten a thing and I know that is so wrong. But this heat makes me only want to drink alot of water. I have been on this diet now for 6 weeks now and that is usually the time when I begin to lose interest. How do I change that?? I must remember not to call it a "diet", but convince myself that it is truly a lifestyle change and continue to take it hour by hour, as day by day can be a little daunting. Time to get anal and prepare the next day's eating in advance and weigh and measure it all out in advance and start keeping the journal again. I can't rely on what I think is a serving and what I think my calories are and have been for the day, that's when the trouble starts and I get fatter again.

Sunday 06/13
As of today, 5 weeks into this journey, I have lost 14 lbs. I am proud of the accomplishment and am now more determined than ever to see my goal of 135. There are days when I struggle against myself and my overwhelming cravings and just plain stupidity. I am my own worst enemy. I will allow myself to eat what I am craving and do so in snack size amounts. I figure if I do that I won't go crazy and eat a family size bag of chips. I must re-program that section of my brain to tell me that a small amount is ok to satisfy the "need". It will be a daily face-off and that is all I can expect. Now I need the will to get more active. Today was a great first step, I walked 1 mile. Almost put it off, but I promised myself and who better to make and keep promises too?????
