Got totally frustrated last weekend and just fell off of the diet. I guess I am not trying hard enough. I only lost a pound and then it came back. So I am still at 169. I am back at it and determined to move more.

In Texas, there is nothing better than real pit BBQ ribs. So I had some for the 4th of July picnic. Oh my. I cleaned the rib meat from the bone, weighed it and enjoyed-no savored it-and stayed on my diet. I really enjoyed yhe meat-no sauce-it doesn't need it. Yum.
Tried the Biggest Loser's Jillian's 30 Day Shred workout and realized that I am woefully out of shape. I am a beginner-boy am I a beginner.
Walking around, using the stairs, parking farther away, is NOT a replacement for sweat. Boy was I kidding myself. I am planning to do the step 1 every day until it is easy.

I am seriously learning about what I put into my mouth. I weigh everything. I am tryng to just follow an 'eat less , move more" diet for me. I was totally amazed at what a serving really is and my eyeballs are not accurate.
I made a huge mistake Feiday night. My husband who does not usually want to go anywhere on Friday night-and-after a 50 hour work week-I don't cook-he took me to dinner. Surprise! To the 'all-you-can-eat-Chinese buffet in town. Whew not even worth trying to figure out what i ate. I will have to direct us to another restaurant with a finite menu. Of course he is slim and can eat a half of a cow and still stay a 34 waist at 68.

Wow, I made my salad as usual but decided to try some fat-free dressings and the one that I picked was fat free Caesar by Maple Grove Farms (only 10 calories per 2 TBSP. I enjoyed the tart flavor and then-my whole mouth is on fire. My lips, tongue and gums are burning and tingling. I had to throw it out. Not sure if I am allergic or if the whole salad was too acidic. Now I am hungry and at work. Grr.
