Born in Chicago. Lived all over the US with first husband. We have 2 sons and one grandson. I moved on, obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Houston. Ran out of money so now I am working in Finance. Whoda thunk the retail job that I had in the 80's would get me a solid good job?? Looked great when I got divorced 16 years ago and now not so good. I want to find that woman again. She was a 4 and I am a 12.
My skinny friend says that when a person marries, the Contented Cow syndrome causes her to get a little lazy about the whole package. Not sure but I think that when I quit smoking last fall, I just put other yummy things in my mouth. That is why I like the food diary I can see it! Here is hoping to actually stick to something.

I work full-time at a desk and have an hour commute to the biggest employer in the area in Central Texas.

Need a little motivation...
I have been on the site for about 10 days. I quit smoking too and had my last one Feb 2. It was grueling and now I have about 27 pounds to lose. I have trouble with exercise too. I tried walking. I am a klutz. I will never Zumba without looking like Elaine dancing on Seinfeld. That being said, I do have the Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred DVD and the easy routine is only 20 minutes and it isn't too complicated. I haven't done it enough to get all the way through but it is getting familiar. That is the key. Get familiar even if you only do part of a DVD routine.

Calories for child care-grandchildren
Thanks for your hints. I have waitied a long time to actually be a Nana. My son waited until he was 35. Then my second husband's daughter had a baby too. The boys are 1 month apart so I am twice blessed. I guess it feels like I ran a marathon but really not so many calories I think. What about pushing a stoller?

How many calories can you take credit for crawling on the floor with a 13 month old grandson? Exercise-crawling, lifting, rocking, rolling a ball back and forth, etc. Would it be the same as housework? What are your thoughts.
