Wife and mommy to two! Started on paleo 7/1/2018. I love the aspect of eating clean and keeping it basic and unprocessed, but I cannot survive without cheese ;)

I lost nearly 20 lbs by following Paleo. Nowadays, I follow the Primal Blueprint Diet which allows me to eat cheese!!! For me, it’s more about being healthy and eating clean and less about what to eat or what not to eat. So, occasionally I do indulge.
What works for me may not work for you.
✅ First goal: 185 (pre-pregnancy weight)

You’re welcome! If you hit a plateau, decrease your daily intake by another 250 calories and do an extra 30 minutes cardio every week.

To lose weight, multiply your goal weight by 11. That’s the minimum caloric intake you should aim for. Now multiply your goal weight by 14. That is your max caloric intake. 1320-1680 is a reasonable caloric intake if your goal weight is 120. Slow and steady loss is key. You may not lose every single week, and that is ok. You need to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Yo-yo dieting isn’t good for anyone. And, that’s what happens when you drop your calories too low because eventually you will feel like you are starving and then you will want to binge eat. I know from experience. We generally eat less when we track our calories because we are conscious of what we are putting into our bodies. But when we aren’t tracking, we often eat mindlessly. So, you probably decreased your caloric intake, without realizing it, when you started keeping a food journal. I hope I have helped and made sense.

what is your goal weight, 5'3 and 5'4 ladies?

I know many ladies my height could go much lower than that, but I know my body. When I was younger, I dropped from 140 to 123 and started looking sickly. I am large framed. My goal is to look and feel healthy. I want to do what is best for me! 130 was probably an excellent number when I was younger. I felt so great at about that weight. But I am allowing myself a few extra pounds since I am obviously not a teenager. I don’t feel like it’s fair to myself to expect a 16 year old’s body at 29. But like I always say, you do you and let me do me Smile
