This has been an awful 2 weeks! I have been fighting allergies and the congestion that goes with it. I don't sleep well with the dry throat and coughing that goes along with it!! But for the first time I felt able to make it all day doing normal everyday things. I have been faithful to low carb and that is the only thing I am certain about!
Weight loss is slow but as long as it is going down, I am doing well!!!

Today was a beautiful, warm and sunshiny day. Loved it. Got to work in my vegetable garden and planted a lot of starts that are good for cool weather. In another month the rest of the garden will be planted. Then it's, weed, water and fertilize and wait for the harvest. It's my favorite time of the year. We eat fresh vegetables and freeze the remainder. I can some, mostly pickles, but we eat well and enjoy it!
I am enjoying the new way of eating and have all the encouragement needed from doctor, family and friends. I feel great and enjoy life.

Scale is slow but the numbers go down, so I am pleased.
Learning new recipes and finding some are terrific and others are a matter of taste. Found a low carb muffin mug recipe that tastes just like Famous Dave's Cornbread Muffin....without the carbs! Husband even liked it!!

The weight is coming off but VERY SLOWLY. But there hasn't been any gaining so I will be glad for any weight loss.
Had my doctor appointment and was pleased to her the doctor say...'Well done!' It doesn't matter how little the loss it is a negative on the scale. Staying in Induction a little longer. I am taking a statin that is keeping me resistant to losing weight but the makes me even more determined to make it work. I feel fantastic and have a lot of energy so I can't complain about anything.
Words of wisdom from my doctor who is also carb intolerant....'Be true to yourself...follow the program...don't worry that you lose in 1/4 to 1/2 pounds....because the 1/4 pounds add up! And DON'T CHEAT! Cheating will set you back and make it harder to do what you are doing so well.
My blood work was excellent! The best I have ever had. Praise the Lord!

I started Atkins on January 20th, 2014, at a beginning weight of 240 lbs. I have lost 14 lbs since then and struggle to lose more than 1/2 lb a week. I will not quit even when discourage because I know this will work. My body is resistant to losing due to medications I currently take. I will succeed.
