I just had my 28th birthday last month, I've been married for a little over 2 years and we have a 4 year old little boy. I've always had issues with weight, although I did get on the "skinny" side back in the high school days. I am about 5'7" tall and weigh 175 pounds. About 7 years ago I was at my lowest weight. I believe I weighed about 126 pounds. For some reason, I still felt that I was "chubby" then, too. Now, I'd give anything to be at 140 pounds.
I gained a lot of weigh in pregnancy. Topping out at 222 pounds. Got down to 190 pounds by the time I went back to work, then came down to where I'm at now. I'm seriously stuck and need a lot of help with this. I get started into an exercise habit, but when I don't see results, I get frustrated and I give up. Until 2 weeks later, I decide to try again, only to give up again. It's a routine I'm very tired of.
I figure I'm still "younger" and should be able to drop this weight. I also think I might need to get my thyroid checked. No matter what I do, I have very little energy. Laid off from my job last fall and no insurance, so that will have to wait.
I'm done rambling now, if anyone has any tips or advice, please let me know! I can use all the help I can get!!! I also need help with my eating habits. I am a very picky eater and not really crazy about a whole lot of "healthy" food. I need ideas and help with this!

I also am on the Atkins diet. I have a hard time with the small amount of foods that I like that are allowed during induction. But, so far so good. 8 pounds first week! Smile Here is a link to some pretty good recipes if you're interested: http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html

South Beach
Not sure about the South Beach Diet, I personally have never looked into it. But, I am currently on my 2nd week of the Atkins diet. Me, being addicted to carbs, I thought this might be my problem. Seems to me, I was right. First week I took off 8 pounds! I've never been able to do that before! And, I don't feel starved, I feel full and satisfied after I eat. Just thought I'd tell ya about it. And, I don't have the book yet, but am just going off of the website. Lots of info on it!
Good luck with which ever route you decide to take!
