gaining 1.0 lb a week

Wow what a weekend! - in short, I'm moving house!! The next three months are going to entail a lot of de-cluttering and emotional decisions, so I am not even going to entertain trying to eat differently! Hopefully I'll burn a few extra calories though :)
I never saw this coming at all, so it has kinda blown my diet plans out of the water, but I'll do my best to keep posting journals here. Once I get moved, everything will be so much better in terms of healthy living, so I am really optimistic I will achieve my goal!
Have a great week everyone!

My WHY List
1. To climb stairs without being out of breath or hurting my knees.
2. To decrease if not eliminate my need for medication (blood pressure/asthma)
3. To enjoy clothes shopping (physically & the ease of finding clothes that fit)
4. To increase my self esteem / confidence
5. To improve the quality of my marriage
6. To extend my life expectancy
7. To let me live life rather than existing
8. To make healthy eating my lifestyle, not an effort
9. To look on the outside how I feel on the inside
10. To sit in any chair and have space at the sides instead of squashing my hips in!

losing 3.5 lb a week
10 June 2012
Well, tomorrow I am starting over (again!) but this time I am going to do things a little differently - I am going to succeed!
I am going to focus on the following small goals for the next 2 weeks:
-Eat 2 fruits or veggies each day
-Stretch for 5 minutes each day
-Write in a journal 3 times per week
In 2 weeks' time, I will look over my journal entries and weigh-in results and then I will decide what to do for the next 2 weeks. I will continue this pattern for 10 weeks. This takes me up to my next week of leave from work, in August, so I will then have a break and consider how the 2 week plans are going and how to move forward from there.
I have decided that my overall goal is going to be within the Normal BMI category, so I have chosen 150lbs. This is not going to be easy by any means, but it doesn't matter - my new approach is to take tiny steps in the right direction. As long as I reach my goal eventually, it doesn't really matter how long it takes - the important thing is to improve my health along the way and have the belief in myself that one day I will be able to say GOAL MET!
