I have had 0 time to workout or even think about meal plans or anything. There was this event at my University called the nursing games. Besically it was 4 days of free food, free drinks, sports, partying and raising money to make a difference in the community. We raised $5000 for a local non-profit organization. It's called Spectra, they work with children who have disabilities and horse back riding. In addition, my stress has been through the roof with exams. During exams I tried my best to make healthy choices, I would make my own hummus and bring veggies or healthy crackers to eat with it. Anything fattening I ate was not because I wanted it but convenience. While I'm mid chapter, starving and a friend at the library offers to pick up some fast food. It's hard to turn down since you would waste a half hour getting food from your studying. The thing that worked best was bringing a big bag of food from home. It was good on my wallet and even if I didn't eat it all at least just about everything in the bag was healthy. Anyway, after completing exams and my hospital placement I am finally free for summer and have 4 months to really concentrate on losing weight and exercising. Plus the weather is beautiful outside so I can do outdoor activity. :)
I am attending a zumba class this evening for the first time and tomorrow I will be trying a yoga class at the gym. I have never done a class at the gym.. . so I don't really know what to expect. :S I hope it's fun because treadmil and eliptical get boring after a while.
Another thing, my birthday passed since I have been on last. So I decided to try on this outfit I ordered online for last years birthday. It's this dress thats dark blue, turquoise, and lots of different kinds of blue with a silver shimmer in the fabric. Basically last year it looked terrible, made me look lumpy and I put it away bummed out. But this year it fit!.. . and looked great so I was told! Finally working out has paid off but I still have a long way to go. It's little things like this that keep me going and fuel my fire. :)

losing 2.8 lb a week

Wow this week has been so hard so far. I have had mid-terms, projects and tests which means late night studying. It has been so hard to not eat late at night and a few nights I just couldn't resist the temptation. I tried to keep the snacks healthy but a peanut butter cookie got the best of me. I felt guilty after and took a gym break. At the gym I burned 950 calories on cardio and did weights too. Go me! It has been 2 days since then and I need to get back to the gym!!!
Motivation: birthday is coming and the outfit would look a lot better 5lbs lighter.

Last week I lost 2.4 lbs. Which was awesome, I worked out at least 1.5 hr everyday and ate healthy.
However today I went to get weighed in and didn't loose anything.
:-( It was kind of a bummer since I ate a balanced died, drank water and exercised quite a bit. The only thing that I did that was bad was have 2 pieces of pizza on Saturday and one drink. I have not had pizza since Christmas break! Oh well, win some and lose some I guess. At least I didn`t gain!!!
