Tonight, one of my boyfriend's coworkers invited us out to eat at Carrabba's. I've had the joy of looking up what I can eat. Carrabba's doesn't openly disclose their nutrition information. However, in New York City, they are required to disclose nutrition information, and it seems that the people from Eat this, not that! have put together a short guide of calorie counts based on the New York guide.
I looked up some of the menu items here on fatsecret, and all the ones posted fall significantly short of the disclosed calorie information. Knowing what I know about Carrabba's, I am definitely going to go with the Eat this, not that! numbers. There is no way that a regular serving of their chicken marsala is only 215 calories.

I may not be able to get enough calories in today. It has been a rough day.
Last night at around midnight, a friend who had just left our house, called to tell us there was a kitten in distress at the highway exit a few exits down. So we went out and rescued the kitten. I didn't get any sleep because it was mewing all night. This kitten is maybe 6 weeks old. He's just a baby. Today, I spent all morning trying to find a no-kill shelter or rescue group that could take it (I called over 30 within a 75 mile radius and my boyfriend called another 10). I spent the rest of the morning going between the screaming cat and our screaming puppy (he's a shiba, they routinely scream). Then I had to go out and pick up some kitten supplies, since it looks like we're gonna have the baby for a few weeks. There's one shelter that will be able to take her after they finish relocating their office, but we have to foster her until then.
So I didn't get much to eat before I went to work. I ate a large salad for dinner, but I forgot to put dressing on it (it was tasty without!) So now it is almost 9 PM and I really need to eat at least a few hundred extra calories before I go to bed.

Well, I'm where I'm supposed to be for this weigh in, and I'm still feeling positive about it.
The water weight from last week's period is gone, which is also good so I can get a more accurate reading.
I'm finally starting to focus less on the diet and more on my crafts and other projects again. The diet is fading into the background and becoming habit, which is good.

Back on track. Weddings are fickle beasts. I'd rather give up the diet for a day, than risk being impolite or give the wrong impression and try to count calories in plated meals. That's beside the liquor that was being poured down my throat (not complaining). It was a very Irish wedding. :) And since they gave our drinking team our own table... well, you can gather how it went.
And yes, I am on a drinking team. We're called "We Cheer for Beer." And the bride and groom are part of that team, thus the reason we got our own table right next to the bar.
Joe and I went to the farmer's market yesterday. We picked up some fresh jalapenos, fruit, blackening season, and some fudge. I love local fudge from the farmer's market. It's just so smooth and creamy and freshly made. I picked up 1/4 lb penuche and 1/4 amaretto fudge. Talk about divine.
I cubic inch is about 90 calories. I can swing that for a special treat. S'all about moderation.

I don't have an accurate count for calories for yesterday. I had to give up my diet for the day, since we had a friend's wedding.
I'm sure I went over, but not worried. Back on the count today.
