Hi My name is Madeleine (Maddie) and I just turned the big 50 this past October. Most people would be sad, but in 1987 I was diagnosed with Leukemia. My sister gave her bonemarrow to me in 1989 and basically gave me a new life. I was 29yrs of age at the time of my illness and really never thought I would see 30, let alone 50!!! My life is so blessed. But now given the fact that I am 50, I need to take better care of myself. I want to look good, but for the first time in my life, I now realize its all about health. I want to see 93, just like my mother. She will be 94 this September, lives alone and still drives herself to store, library and church. She is my inspiration!!! Today is a great day and tomorrow will even be better.
