I am very happy with my progress. It may have slowed down this month, but given I went on a 12 day cruise and survived two birthday parties and dinner out at a fancy Italian restaurant, I am very happy. My endocrinologist was thrilled. He does not care if I get to my goal weight. He said another twenty would be perfect. That makes me 35 lbs over my chosen goal. He said, as I already know, that no one would ever be able to estimate my weight. I carry it very well probably because I am large boned and muscular, despite not doing weight lifting. My blood pressure was low 102/64 but he didn't mind that either. Since I saw him I lost more weight. Not bad. So I am motivated. I did tell him that I am not suffering and there is nothing I deny myself, but I keep to my 23 points. I can't end "dieting" because this is not dieting. I could easily eat like this for life. I just figured at some point my body will decide to stay where it is or even gain, at which point I would have to cut out some points. But it is fine as it is now.

Well, I returned from my 12 day vacation (cruise) feeling good about myself and my will power. Since it takes me so long to lose weight, and I gain so quickly, I decided to stick to my 23 WW points while on the cruise. That meant limiting the unlimited wine or booze to one a day unless they were having a special champagne reception.
Then I had just a piece of fruit for lunch since we were usually out on excursions anyway. I counted everything as best I good. Fortunately, Canyon Ranch Spa was on board and on the dinner menu they chose the healthiest menu items and made suggestions. Invariably, I ordered from that section. I mostly had fruit for dessert and sugar free ice cream occasionally. We were so much more active than at home that any hidden calories would be accounted for.
I have not gotten on the scale because I know that the food on board might have hidden sodium. So I am waiting until Wednesday. My clothes are not tighter; in fact, I think they are looser, but I do expect a weight gain because that is the story of my life. I didn't go around hungry and felt good taking the focus off the food. I am glad we had unlimited excursions because on most days we did two, which meant being twice as active. I will post again with the results on Wednesday. I will be very disappointed if I gained weight.
