My scale is broken so I am guessing. There is another reason I am guessing. It is because I have visibly lost a lot of weight since my last weigh in. The inches have really come off, and clothes are hanging. I can't fit in extra large anymore. They swim on me.I am wearing regular size clothing. In fact, I put on a gown recently for a wedding because I refused to buy a dress. I found it in my closet. It had been well over 25 years since I last wore it. It fit like a glove, and it was a 14. I am a big boned fairly tall woman, so that is not bad for me. I think I might be better off not weighing myself and just using clothes as my guage. The scale was all over the place and I would get depressed. Now I just write down what I eat every day and try on smaller clothes to check. It seems to be working. People who haven't seen me in several months commented on the amazing weight loss, so something is happening.

I have really kept the points down, but occasionally use the extras if there is a special occasion or traveling involved and lacking the proper foods in the house. I will take "slow and steady." I am not suffering. I am allowing myself to eat out more, something I avoided almost totally. I can't shop in the plus sizes anymore. I saw a few things today and knew they would swim. So I guess I am fine with the slow way things are going. I feel great. The best part is that the clothes from last summer are huge and the summer before, when I was about 20 lbs more, are big as well. I just wear them big . I will spend money on fall clothes.

losing 0.4 lb a week

It has been a long time since weighing in and writing. I read on the WW site that sometimes a break is good. That doesn't mean going off the diet, but not going crazy. So I tried it. There were a lot of occasions, birthdays, etc. I did have cake, but counted it. I did have a drink two nights ago, a Margarita, my first in a long time, besides occasional wine. I tasted my grandson's dessert. I even ate some sweet potato fries. I didn't know what to expect on the scale but didn't feel fatter. I had cut back a tad on carbs for a few days and stayed under my allotted points. I was rewarded today with a break in my plateau a two pound loss on both scales. One always has me two pounds more. So I have to say I am very pleased. Now I know the summer will be a good one. I am happy the way I am eating and am not feeling deprived. Hopefully, I can drop five pounds over the summer. That isn't a lot but it would be in the right direction. Of course, I would LOVE to go below 190 and be the lightest I have been in 25 years.

I am still not losing, but not complaining either. There isn't much I can do to rev up this poor body. I asked the WW consultant if I could cut back the points. She said that I am at the lowest end, but can eat less and save them up. Hmmm. I will consider that. I do see my endocrinologist tomorrow. If my blood work is all right and I do not need to increase my synthroid or add T3, I will get his advice. BTW, my clothes are still getting looser. Go figure. This is a very, very long time without a loss.

Although I kept within my WW points and still had birthday cake for dessert a few times, I have seen no number success, just clothing success. I am thinner. So I will go with that. My goal is unrealistic, but we should always dream.
One reason for having cake, which I never eat, was to shake things up. I wanted to eat different things from usual just to jump start my body. Weird, I know. I did stay within my allotted points, so I don't feel guilty about cheating, just about not eating healthy. Well, my grandson's birthday cake is gone, and has been for a few days, so back to reality. And back to clothes feeling looser. One day my scale will realize that I have lost weight.
