On the right track again 😊 and happy with the result considering I've struggled to get much walking in as my fibromyalgia hasn't been so good which was probably due to the stress of travelling.
I know I need to look at portion control as my appetite is definitely larger since my visit to the UK and my indulgent lifestyle 😋. I am also still enjoying a naughty alcoholic drink in the evenings which is something I could stop if I wanted to lose weight quicker but I will see how things go as life's to short to deprive one's self of all naughtiness
Off to the market tomorrow where there is a fantastic stall that you can pick out your own selection of fruit and vegetables and it all cost 1€ a kilo. I usually come away with at least a couple of bags bulging with beautiful plump tomatoes, a rainbow of peppers, penguin like aubergines (sometimes they have the stripey variety which look like penguins in pyjamas 🐧), courgettes, the little crocodile skinned cucumbers, the small creamy textured avocados which taste so nutty and nice and what ever else is in season over here. You do have to pay 2€ for watermelons but they are bigger than basketballs so I'm not complaining.
I am so lucky being able to live my best life 😊

Wow that is a huge weight gain 😱 but
I only have myself to blame. I have no regrets though because I had such a wonderful month catching up with family and friends, all of whom spoilt me rotton, with food and drink being the main treat. Yes I could have been more restrained and not eaten all the gorgeous food and not indulged in so many alcoholic drinks but I wanted to make fantastic memories and enjoy every moment among the special people in my life. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, I have lost so many loved ones over the past few years I now know to treasure every second I have, be that consuming the best fish, chips and mushy peas on a park bench watching hungry seagulls circling or discussing the best biscuits to dunk in your tea at a friend's house. Food is always going to be the hub of my life and I'm not going to deny it 😋
So now I'm back home, struggling to fit into my clothes and feeling quite uncomfortable. I have surprised myself by actually looking forward to getting back to 'normal' eating. I have been shopping and have enjoyed hunting down beautiful fresh fruit, veg and fish, nice cuts of meat and I shall enjoy creating lovely meals from them. Aside from eating cooking is one of my favourite things to do so let the challenge begin and the weight to reduce.
My next trip home will be in December so I have a target to aim for. I am sure there will be people who would see this sort of yo yo dieting as a terrible thing but it suits me, I never go back to my highest weight and sometimes I am surprised by how little I have put on (not this time though 😉) .
I am going to call it 🌈Rainbow Dieting 🌈
Being aware of what I eat and losing weight whist I work towards the pot of gold that is enjoying life, food, drink and memory making with those I love.
Here I go heading towards the end of the rainbow, wish me luck 🌈
