Have been sort of wtching what I eat, but not trying very hard to lose. I'm a few pounds down from where I was and am starting to diet again by cutting out startches and sugar.

The only good thing is the pounds are decreasing rather than increasing. Trying to lose weight at age 72 with Type II diabetes is nothing like losing a few pounds when I was 30. Oh well, at least I'm heading in the right direction.

The scale is going down much slower than in years past, but I guess at age 71 everything is slower. So, I'll settle for a pound or 1/2 pound a week -- as long as the scale keeps going down. For the first time in 20 years, I feel as though I will actually accomplish a weight loss. Feeling good and good feeling!
