Ok, so, I was doing really well with the running and then my knees started hurting incredibly bad. I am a former marine and have a disability for my knees. They hurt so bad that I couldn't even walk. I didn't know what I was going to do. Became very discouraged. Well, I remembered somebody mentioning that you could swim at the high school for free. I found a schedule and have begun swimming 3 days a week. You don't realize how out of shape you are until you start swimming laps. I feel great. Even got my boyfriend to go with me. My boyfriend is big into weight training so he put together a weight program from me. So now we swim 3 days a week and lift weights 4 days a week. Boy am I sore but going strong. Gained all the weight back in the 3 weeks of discouragement but hopefully it will start coming off again now that I am doing an activity I love.
